Dr. Binsi P K
Senior Scientist
ICAR-CIFT
Dr. Binsi P.K. is a Senior Scientist at ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Kochi, specializing in marine biotechnology and value-addition of fishery resources. With a Ph.D. in Fish Processing Technology from the College of Fisheries, Mangalore, her research focuses on developing innovative applications from marine by-products for health, medical, cosmetic, and agricultural sectors. A recipient of the Prof. Hiralal Chaudhuri Medal for 'Excellence in Innovative Research' (2016), her significant contributions include work on marine biopolymers, biomedical devices, and extraction of natural additives from fish processing discards. Her research has been widely published in leading international journals, particularly in the areas of fish protein chemistry and functional food ingredients.
